The Surgery This surgery is performed at an outpatient surgical center and is done under general anesthesia by a Board Certified anesthesiologist. The procedure takes 1 1/2 hours, and the first 5 days of recovery requires reduced activity. Post operative discomfort is controlled with medications during the first few days.
